writer and photographer, cleo león (Ponce, Puerto Rico, 1996) explores the potential of personal memory as a way to reimagine the systematic writing of history. by engaging with the interchangeable images of photography and poetry, they investigate how marginalized subjects have become phantoms of their own spaces through the process of colonization. their processes include site explorations and personal exchanges that are later translated into photo-sequences.
